FFS - form fill seal packaging

Thermoformable packaging or Form Fill Seal packaging (FFS) are the preferred sterile barrier system for larger medical devices. Typical applications are for wound dressings, instruments or complete sets. During production of a FFS packaging, the steps of Form (Thermoforming), Fill (Filling) and Seal (Sealing) are carried out. The filling of the formed wells is done manually or by machine.
